CHAUDHARY CHARAN SINGH HARYANA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY - CCSHAU

The CHAUDHARY CHARAN SINGH HARYANA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY is guided by a Board of Management which is the policy making body and is responsible for the management of the University. The Chancellor is the Honorary Chairman and the Vice-chancellor is the Working Chairman of the Board. The members include the Chief Secretary, Secretaries of Agriculture, Finance and Community Development, Government of Haryana, an eminent scientist, two progressive farmers or livestock breeders, a distinguished industrialist or businessman and an outstanding woman social worker, preferably with a background of rural development. The State Government nominates five non-official members. One nominee of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research is also associated with the Board's meetings. In addition, the Board also has Technical Advisors; they are Director of Agriculture and Director of Animal Husbandry of the State and two officers from amongst the Deans and Directors of the University. The Registrar is the Ex-officio Secretary.

The Comptroller is a whole time Officer of the University. He manages finance and investment of the CCSHAU and advice in regard to its financial matters. He is responsible for the preparation and presentation of budget and ensure that the expenditure, not authorized in the budget, is not incurred in the University. He is responsible to prepare the Accounts of the University and get them audited. He is also the Member Secretary of the Finance Committee. He has to ensure that all the income and fees due to the CCSHAU are collected and deposited in the Bank Account timely. There are five Branches assisting the Comptroller for performing various nature of functions for financial management of the University. These are (i) Budget Branch (ii) Accounts Branch (iii) Establishment Branch (iv) Inspection Branch (v) Pension Branch. Besides this, the Comptroller is the Controlling Officer of the Store Purchase Organization.
